A scan now distinguishes a present path, a proven absence, and an unknown path. Only a proven absence becomes a tombstone.
Unreadable paths no longer stop the whole entry. Files over 512 MiB remain present but unsyncable, are not read or overwritten, and appear in sync status and doctor.
Missing remote entries and residual size-limit failures now report as configuration or data problems instead of unreachable peers.
