@gspetro-NOAA Do you know if this PR is still needed? I thought the ccpp-physics repo was already compatible with spack-stack 2.1.0. Perhaps I'm wrong? |
I don't know for sure, but my understanding was that this change was needed. It's possible things have evolved such that it no longer is. However, I am holding off on more testing until I get some word about Derecho. |
There is an active email conversation about the status and future of Derecho between the higher ups. Hopefully, a conclusion will be reached soon and communicated down to us peasants. In the meantime, I am trying to find spare time to rebuild and debug on Derecho. |
Description of Changes:
Contains ccpp/physics code changes from EPIC that are required to upgrade the WM to spack-stack v2.1.0
Tests Conducted:
In progress.
We will be testing the RTs and troubleshooting failing tests with developers. This may lead to separate PRs from those developers to ensure that their tests work with the new stack, esp. LLVM compilers.
Dependencies:
Add any links to parent PRs (e.g. SCM and/or UFS PRs) or submodules (e.g. rte-rrtmgp). For example:
There are related atmos_cubed_sphere and UPP PRs, but there is no dependency between those and CCPP.
