Jorge González — Senior Software Engineer

Hi there 👋

I'm Jorge, a Senior Software Developer based in Mexico City.

Most of my work is backend. Right now, that's NestJS and Next.js with Postgres and Redis for a financial platform.

Before that, it was mostly PHP and Laravel, which is still where most of my open-source work lives.

Functional programming is the part I keep coming back to. I led a migration of a Python/Lambda REST platform to an Elixir and Phoenix Framework powered GraphQL API.

I'm also a supporter of open-source software and have contributed to @laravel and other open-source projects.
