The update was created with the help of AI Gemini 3 Flash Preview.

The entire UI2 design has been overhauled and updated to include a day/night theme.

Switching between the new and old UI and changing the theme takes place without restarting the app.

On the control side, the TPMS XSQ Config target values can be set for the smart EQ.

This PR includes unmentioned and unexplained changes to the battery data processing, both 12V and (currently Twizy specific) main battery. I assume these are meant to address issue #253. Please move these changes into a separate PR.

First review results:

  • I like the overall design change. The theme mode option in the App settings is good, and adding a dedicated button for the App settings makes this clearer for new users.
  • The added option to use custom vehicle images is very welcome.
  • The switchable status info on the main page is nice…
  • …and the new options for the map are also, especially the Google Map search link.

Issues found so far:

  • Selecting the vehicle images is now much more time consuming than before, because I need to select the three images separately, needing to browse through the meanwhile excessively long list of car & color options. Selecting the main image should at least automatically select the corresponding default top-down and map image of that car & color, probably also filter those image lists by the vehicle type (as OL images are normally designed for vehicle specific feature support, so will also need the main image type to match).
  • Also, as we're there: the image selection could be reworked now to arrange color options vertically instead of inline. So you would scroll horizontally just to select the vehicle type, then select the color by scrolling vertically or by selecting from a dropdown menu -- just a suggestion, if you've got a better idea, go for it.
  • The top-down and map icon selections lack most color options now (e.g. VW e-Up only has white).
  • The top-down image is now displayed much smaller than before, used to be filling the available space, now is mostly covered by the buttons.
  • The map icons are now displayed with a wrong ratio (stretched horizontally) on the actual map.
  • The OCM connection dialog no longer works, only the backdrop shadow is displayed (applies to both the map menu and the car settings menu button).

Very nice solution on the image selection.

Next round:

  • The top down image is now a bit better on the controls page, but still not as nice as before, see attached images below for some examples. For comparison, the climate control page shows a better size of the image (still could be a bit larger). Probably some space is needed for the added elements on the control page, but clearly more of the area can be used. Also, the placement of the four main control buttons is odd now -- see screenshots.
  • Speaking of the control buttons: those on the right edge add some margin/padding when clicked, causing a weird layout jump.
  • The Twizy specific quick action drive mode icons (replacing the homelink default icons) are gone -- see screenshots. They are still visible in the quick action editor, but disappear when leaving it.
  • The widget colors are broken now. It seems the background color has been replaced. I first thought this is a broken attempt at implementing light mode for the widget, but the widget doesn't react to the theme option -- and it probably also shouldn't, as the home screen normally also doesn't follow dark/light mode switching. If at all, the widget color scheme would need to be a separate widget option, but I don't think that's needed, the fixed dark design is OK for the widget.

Two things remaining:

  • The scheduled command widget color scheme is still fixed (see screenshot).
  • The widget color scheme does not follow the system theme until the next time the App is opened or getting some signal.
