A simple Python program to plot crime data using matplotlib and shapefile.

Note: You may have issues using the shapefiles if you do not convert x/y pairs to WGS84 before use in Python.

GIFs created using ImageMagick.

Installed via macports: sudo port install ImageMagick

Then used as follows: convert -delay 100 *.png Cabrini_output.gif
