Original PR #169 remains open; this PR extracts only two documentation additions from that work.\n\nIncluded:\n- docs/HOST_OPTIMIZATION_CONTRACT.md\n- docs/UPSTREAM_2026-08-20.md\n\nNo runtime/recompiler behavior changes.\n\nValidation:\n- Docs-only; no build required.\n\nExtraction note:\n- These docs were embedded in broader PR #169 history, so this PR restores only the independent new documentation files and avoids unrelated docs/.gitignore churn.
