Meccanismo Complesso

Independent research project (2017– ) focused on complex systems, agent-based modeling, computational social science, and emergent network dynamics.

Maintained by Fabio Nelli (Independent Researcher, Rome, Italy) ORCID: https://orcid.org/0009-0008-0725-0391 Email: meccanismo.complesso@gmail.com

Current Research

From Boundary Crossings to Global Connectivity: A Minimal Mechanism in Structured Agent-Based Landscapes (2026)

This study investigates how a small fraction of exploratory agents can generate large-scale connectivity in structured multi-attractor environments through localized boundary-crossing dynamics.

Resources

About

Meccanismo Complesso was originally a collaborative project (2017–2019) dedicated to exploring computational models and complex systems.

The project has since evolved into an independent research initiative focused on the study of emergence, self-organization, agent-based systems, and network formation processes.
