I'm an Account Executive at MotherDuck, after working as a Senior Customer Engineer. I still spend a lot of my time on the technical side: discovery, architecture, pilots, customer deployments, and building tools when software is the clearest answer.
Most of my work falls into two areas:
- Production agent systems. I build workflows for issue reproduction, customer support, and analytics. I'm especially interested in tool orchestration, evals, tracing, human approval, and making agent work reproducible.
- The DuckDB ecosystem. I maintain connectors, extensions, and tooling that fill gaps around DuckDB and MotherDuck.
I use AI heavily in both. The model matters, but I'm more interested in whether the resulting system is reliable, inspectable, and useful in real work.
- MotherDuck Agent Skills - an open-source catalog that teaches coding agents how to explore schemas, write DuckDB SQL, use the MotherDuck API, and build data applications
- drizzle-duckdb - a Drizzle ORM adapter for DuckDB
- duckdb-sqlalchemy - a production-focused SQLAlchemy dialect for DuckDB and MotherDuck
- duckdb-finance - SQL-native financial functions for DuckDB
I'm based in Amsterdam. I like collaborating remotely on side projects, although I think full-time teams do their best work together in person.
Outside work, I keep track of films on Letterboxd and help organize screenings in Amsterdam's independent projection rooms. Here's the running list.
