Temporary fork-only CI rehearsal. The base is upstream master f585ab6 plus one workflow trigger line shared by both branches; the PR diff is the exact 147-file audited dependency modernization. The tested source tree differs from deps/upstream-modernization only by that common pull_request trigger. This PR will be closed without merging after checks complete.
