Hi, I'm Paulo Rodrigues 👋

Founder @ ImparLabs — self-hosted, privacy-first AI automation for European businesses.

Architect turned AI automation specialist. I help European SMEs run AI systems they actually own — self-hosted, open-source, and built for EU compliance (GDPR / EU AI Act) instead of shipping their data to someone else's cloud.

🔭 What I'm working on

  • Owned AI agents — practical automation for European SME workflows, running on infrastructure the client owns and controls.
  • pi — a fully local AI agent stack: open-weight LLMs on llama.cpp with self-hosted search, so the whole loop runs on-prem with no third-party API.
  • Open source — contributing European Portuguese (PT-PT) localization and small fixes to the open-source tools I self-host (Listmonk, Umami, and more). PT-PT ≠ PT-BR, and most projects get it wrong.
