I'm Giacomo, an Aerospace Engineer with a passion for robotics 🤖!

I just completed a PhD in Electrical, Electronics, and Communication Engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin, in collaboration with Thales Alenia Space Italy. My main research interests concern advanced rover mobility systems for planetary exploration and astronaut support, with a special focus on the development of localization systems for robotic agents.

I've been working on:

• a multi-modal sensor fusion framework for state estimation of a lunar rover prototype.
• a localization module for autonomous robots navigating natural underground environments in low-lighting conditions. Data collected on-site are available here.
• a Unity-based VR environment for astronaut training and cooperation with robots.
