Description

The failing run_ci (ubuntu-latest, 3.11, xqueue) job was traced to an import failure inside the mounted xqueue service code, not to a breakage in edx/devstack itself. The crash occurs during Django URL loading with ModuleNotFoundError for django.views.decorators.csrf.

  • Root cause identified

    • CI job 91987318527 fails in xqueue startup path:
      • submission_queue/views.py imports csrf_exempt
      • runtime raises ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'django.views.decorators.csrf'
    • Stack trace points to /edx/app/xqueue/xqueue/... (workspace-mounted xqueue repo code).
  • Repository impact

    • No in-repo devstack code path was found that can directly patch this import failure.
    • Failure is attributable to upstream xqueue checkout/version compatibility in CI.
# failing import in xqueue service code (outside this repo)
from django.views.decorators.csrf import csrf_exempt

I've completed each of the following or determined they are not applicable:

  • Made a plan to communicate any major developer interface changes (or N/A)
