Digitable Planner

BSD-licensed, local-first year planner for Digitable. Calendar data stays in the browser: the first release has no account, analytics, backend, or hidden provider connection.

Current milestone

  • classic 12-month desktop view, compact continuous flow view, and an interactive offline city map;
  • whole-year, future-only, quarterly and explicit month-set scopes;
  • banners and heatmap, editable local calendar names/colours, event CRUD and recurrence;
  • optional local start/end time with all-day compatibility and chronological agendas;
  • 106 bundled cities (74 in Russia), Leaflet controls over bundled Natural Earth boundaries, configurable picker allowlist, frequent-city ranking, and no tile, geocoder or geolocation requests;
  • explicit numbered event itinerary plus offline travel maps at world and Russia levels, derived only from cities already attached to visible events;
  • independent collapsible toolbar/calendar/statistics/agenda panels with persisted default-collapse preferences;
  • browser-local PNG export for the visible calendar period and travel map;
  • standalone system/light/dark themes plus the inherited Courses embed theme;
  • all visible events in the right panel when no day is selected and period statistics below the calendar list;
  • IndexedDB persistence with live same-origin tab refresh, .ics import/export and checked .dplan backups;
  • compact data/connections modal with a confirmed local-calendar reset;
  • installable PWA, full-view mode and a narrow Courses embed contract;
  • exact Digitable dark/light palette and canonical Digitable PWA icons.

CalDAV and iCloud are UNVERIFIED / NOT IMPLEMENTED. The repository contains only a provider port and capability labels; it does not request or store provider credentials.

Development

Requires Node.js 22 or newer.

npm ci
npm run check
npm run dev

See docs/verification.md for the current evidence and known limits.

Licence

The code is BSD 2-Clause; see LICENSE. LICENSE-RU.md explains the voluntary request that companies earning substantial money from the project invest back in it. That request is not an additional licence term.
