npm ci failed because package.json declares license but package-lock.json's root entry didn't. Add the license to the lockfile so npm ci (and CI) passes.
The 'Before you open a PR' section now lists both npm run lint and npm run check, matching the PR guidelines bullet and what CI runs (the tree is Prettier-clean now).
