This project was created with Better-T-Stack, a modern TypeScript stack that combines React Native, Expo, Hono, TRPC, and more.
- TypeScript - For type safety and improved developer experience
- React Native - Build mobile apps using React
- Expo - Tools for React Native development
- TailwindCSS - Utility-first CSS for rapid UI development
- Hono - Lightweight, performant server framework
- tRPC - End-to-end type-safe APIs
- Node.js - Runtime environment
- Drizzle - TypeScript-first ORM
- PostgreSQL - Database engine
- Authentication - Better-Auth
- Turborepo - Optimized monorepo build system
- Biome - Linting and formatting
First, install the dependencies:
pnpm installThis project uses PostgreSQL with Drizzle ORM.
-
Make sure you have a PostgreSQL database set up.
-
Update your
apps/server/.envfile with your PostgreSQL connection details. -
Apply the schema to your database:
pnpm run db:pushThen, run the development server:
pnpm run devUse the Expo Go app to run the mobile application. The API is running at http://localhost:3000.
Food analysis uses OpenRouter from the server. Add OPENROUTER_API_KEY to
apps/server/.env; the text and image models can be changed with
OPENROUTER_TEXT_MODEL and OPENROUTER_IMAGE_MODEL. Text analysis defaults to
openrouter/free.
- Run checks:
pnpm run check
