I’m Stum9y (Craig) an IT Service Desk Analyst with a strong interest in cloud technologies, automation, and hands‑on homelab learning. I’m driven by a passion for building, breaking (and fixing) systems to better understand how things really work under the hood.
This GitHub is where I document projects, experiments, and lessons learned as I continue developing my skills in infrastructure, automation, and cloud technologies.

- 💻 IT Service Desk Analyst
- 🧠 Strong interest in infrastructure, identity, and automation
- 🧪 Hands‑on learner - I learn best by building and rebuilding
- ☁️ Exploring cloud concepts across on‑prem and hybrid environments
I enjoy moving beyond “click‑ops” and understanding why systems behave the way they do.
My homelab is my main learning and testing environment, where I safely experiment with real‑world technologies and scenarios.
Using Proxmox, with both Windows and Linux VMs, I recreate enterprise‑style environments to test:
- Infrastructure changes and upgrades
- Automation workflows
- Identity, access, and DNS behaviour
- Backup, snapshot, and recovery processes
This setup reinforces good habits around documentation, version control, and structured change, and bridges the gap between theory and real‑world experience.
- ⚙️ Ansible Semaphore – automation and configuration management
- 🧑💻 Gitea – self‑hosted Git and version control
- 🌐 DNS Server – internal name resolution
- 🪟 Windows VMs – AD, Group Policy, admin scenarios
- 🐧 Linux VMs – automation, services, CLI practice

Most projects begin with
“This should be simple…” and end with "I definatly need better documentation and a stronger understanding".
