Improve and modernize README #5

Description

@ig-imanish

Context

Current README is functional but underwhelming for a product with 1000+ users. It doesn’t sell the product well or make contribution / setup as clear as it should be.

Problems

  • Weak first impression / value proposition
  • Feature list feels incomplete or poorly structured
  • Setup / contribution steps can be clearer
  • Missing or weak visuals (screenshots, badges, architecture overview)
  • No clear “why Ossium vs alternatives” section
  • Links and sections feel slightly outdated

Proposed Direction

  • Stronger hero section at the top (one-liner + key value props)
  • Clean feature list with short descriptions
  • Better screenshots or short demo GIFs
  • Clearer local setup + contribution guide
  • Tech stack section
  • Badges (stars, license, users, etc.)
  • Keep it scannable — no walls of text

Acceptance Criteria

  • README makes the product feel more polished and intentional
  • New visitors understand what Ossium does in < 10 seconds
  • Setup and contribution paths are obvious
  • Visually consistent with the product aesthetic

Notes

Priority: medium. Good first PR for anyone wanting to improve docs/UX.
