google.Credentialsusingsync.Mutexand a package-level variable ininternal/run/auth/auth.go. Additionally, added caching-specific unit and benchmark tests ininternal/run/auth/auth_test.go.🎯 Why: Calling
auth.GetIDTokenrepeatedly (especially across concurrent proxy request boundaries) triggeredgoogle.FindDefaultCredentialseach time. This initiated expensive filesystem access, environment scans, and GCP Metadata Server queries, causing a ~300ms overhead latency bottleneck per request.📊 Impact: The retrieval latency has been reduced from several hundred milliseconds (due to discovery and file I/O operations) to ~38 nanoseconds per subsequent call.
