Superseded by clean PR #60 after production
mainadvanced with the merged Settings v2 foundation. #55's code was preserved exactly at the Core/test level, but its PR merge-base remained stale and GitHub marked it non-mergeable. PR #60 starts directly from currentmain, contains the same four truthful-metadata/repair files, and is the only active merge target. Branch retained as development history.
