SUGGESTION: The <!-- BEGIN: REPO HERO --> / <!-- END: REPO HERO --> markers imply an automation contract, but no tooling in this repo consumes them. Either remove the markers, or add the generator/script that owns the block so future contributors (and rebases) don't accidentally edit or remove them.

WARNING: This image asset is ~1.07 MB (1,071,756 bytes) at 1152×640. Loading an uncompressed PNG of that size directly in the README will hurt first-paint and LCP on GitHub and in any embedded mirror/render, and is the most likely cause of the failing Netlify deploy preview if the site has any asset-size budget. Consider re-exporting with oxipng -o max/pngquant, or providing a WebP/AVIF next to it, and referencing it via a <picture> element. See also: the file is binary and tracked directly in git (no LFS), so it will permanently bloat clone size.

SUGGESTION: The alt text uses an em dash (—) and reads like a caption ("hero generated locally on the GPU stack"). For a purely decorative repo hero, prefer alt="" so screen readers skip it; for an informational hero, replace — with a plain hyphen or comma to avoid inconsistent rendering across screen readers and translation pipelines.

CRITICAL: The Netlify deploy preview for this PR failed (see the netlify[bot] comment in the issue thread, deploy 6a9a22a40e302a0008fa7ac6). The newly added ~1 MB assets/repo-hero.png is the most probable cause — Netlify commonly fails preview builds on asset/budget limits or when referenced files are missing in the served output. Before merge, confirm the deploy log and either (a) shrink the asset, (b) configure Netlify to allow it, or (c) reference a path that the build pipeline actually serves.

Adds a repo-specific 1152×640 hero generated locally through ComfyUI on the GPU stack. Validated as a PNG output with no external image dependency.
