I'm Frank1o3, a 16-year-old developer who enjoys learning by building things.
I've spent most of my time working with Python, mainly building software, backend systems, automation tools, and developer utilities. Over time I've also worked with JavaScript and TypeScript, including some frontend development and VS Code extensions.
Recently, I've been putting more time into learning Rust by building projects such as my own rendering engine and package manager. I've also been learning Java through Minecraft mod development, where I've built reusable libraries and other tools.
I'm interested in understanding how software works beyond just making something that happens to work, so I enjoy experimenting with architecture, performance, tooling, and lower-level systems.
Most experienced with
- Python
- JavaScript
- TypeScript
Currently learning / expanding my experience with
- Rust
- Java
- C++
Other experience
- Backend development
- Basic frontend development
- Networking and firewalls
- Linux systems
- Automation
- Developer tooling
- Graphics and rendering
I also maintain my own MikroTik configuration as a public repository so others can experiment with it, review it, or use it as a reference.
I don't like limiting myself to one type of project. Some of the things I've worked on include:
- Rendering technology β building a cross-platform rendering engine in Rust.
- Developer tools β including Packsmith, a Minecraft modpack creation tool.
- AI-assisted development β experimenting with AI context, memory, and agent systems.
- Minecraft development β building Java mods and reusable libraries such as FranklyLib.
- Systems software β including Rivet, my own package manager, and Veyra, my experimental operating-system project.
- Networking and infrastructure β experimenting with networking, firewalls, self-hosting, and related systems.
Some projects are actively developed, while others are experiments or projects I may return to later.
I'm still learning, and that's one of the things I enjoy most about programming.
I'm interested in learning new languages, frameworks, libraries, and technologies whenever they help me build something interesting or solve a problem better.
My main goal isn't to specialize in one technology as quickly as possible. I want to become a better software engineer by understanding different approaches and learning how different parts of computing fit together.

My website and some of my other services are self-hosted on a small PC, so they may occasionally be offline.
I'm always open to constructive feedback, suggestions, and ideas.
If you've used one of my projects, found a bug, or have an idea for improving something I've built, feel free to open an issue or reach out.
I'm always interested in learning something new.
Thanks for stopping by!
