I work on robot manipulation and human-robot collaboration, currently as a researcher at IIT Madras, using a UR5e arm as my primary research platform. Most of my work sits at the intersection of classical robotics stacks and modern ML:
- 🦾 Manipulation & control — ROS / ROS2, RTDE, MoveIt, real-time robot control
- 👁️ Perception — Intel RealSense (D455) depth cameras, point cloud processing, open-vocabulary segmentation & tracking
- 🧠 Physical AI — exploring Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models and learned policies for real-world manipulation, Gaussian Process–based progress/intent estimation
- 🤝 Human-robot collaboration — adaptive systems that reason about human task progress, user studies comparing baseline vs. learned collaboration strategies
- Currently a researcher at IIT Madras, exploring Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models and the broader space of Physical AI — bringing learned policies into contact with real hardware on a UR5e
- Real-time object tracking pipelines (RealSense + open-vocab segmentation + BoT-SORT) for robust perception under occlusion
- ROS/ROS2 developer tooling to make day-to-day robotics workflows faster
