Link affiliate projects that relate to an organization project in its documentation

very quick braindump:

TL libs have community contributions such as fs2-data for fs2, or skunk-retries for skunk.

We could have as an affiliation "perk" a link from the TL documentation of those libraries in a dedicated community section.
That would create crosslinks in the ecosystem, enabling discovery of projects and acknowledgement of open-source contributions.

For a CTO looking for the strengths in a library this is a very positive signal.
For users it makes these projects available in their mind once they've gone through the doc.

This is kind of what the cats site has, although far more comprehensive than just things based on cats. It would be nice if sites like CE and FS2 had more focused lists like you suggest.

Some additional thoughts:

My grander vision for the Project Index on typelevel.org is that we should make a Calico webapp à la Scaladex (but backed by static data and not requiring a server). The webapp could have search, categories, and maybe even some fancy LLM-backed¹ features where you describe what you are trying to do and it suggests some libraries that you can checkbox-select and get scaffolded into a scala-cli build.

Then, project websites could link to or even embed this webapp on an "ecosystem" page, pre-filtered to display relevant projects. We could even add this automatically via the sbt-typelevel-site plugin.
