Abstract
In a previous talk I gave a brief introduction into wide events. This talk dives a bit deeper with some practical design patterns that can help any dev team leverage the data in their code and improve their application observability. I do not plan to use AI nor mention AI as part of this talk.
Some of the topics I'll be touching on:
- Rails controllers and rack middleware
- ActiveJob
- ActiveSupport::CurrentAttributes
- Plain old Ruby objects

I am aiming for 20 minutes, but could stretch it longer if needed.
