unable to build project after add this package

Following error is displayed...

but once I remove this package everything works fine..

using ReactNative 0.61.5

Did you manage to resolve this?
The only way I got it to work was:
Follow the android install instructions then run these commands

npm install --save-dev jetifier
npx jetify
npx react-native run-android
