PDF Download Link in Gallery JSON

When I receive a download link through the Gallery JSON, it is usually valid. However, for a certain PDF file, it is returning a link to http://i.min.us/....pdf when really, the link is http://k.min.us/....pdf and one of the letters within the filename is different. The JSON is not returning the correct download links for some fies.

For pdf's, there's a certain ambiguity. If you want the file itself, you get
it from i.min.us/...pdf. But if you want the preview, it's actually
i.min.us/j...jpg.

I think both are needed in the case of pdf's. What do you think would be
easiest for you?

The file link for i.min.us does not work - and comes up as "File Not Found." I have noticed that the real download link comes from k.min.us and a different extension for .PDF files as well as .DOCX files (there may be others). Point is, the Gallery API is not returning the correct download links. I can give an example in a couple of minutes, after I upload a file list.

Can you give me the exact link.

Note that the thumbnail starts with a j, and the actual pdf starts with an
i.

Suppose I have this gallery, and it is filled with a simple .pdf file.

http://min.us/mciUYAp

If I download the gallery items using the API url (http://min.us/api/GetItems/mciUYAp), I will receive the following JSON:

{"READ_ONLY_URL_FOR_GALLERY": "ciUYAp", "GALLERY_TITLE": "monetizingguru", "ITEMS_GALLERY": ["http://i.min.us/jedb7s.pdf"]}

If you visit the .pdf file link, it leads to a "file not found" link. This happens in some other galleries as well.

Ah I see the error. Actually, the files are:
http://i.min.us/jedb7s http://i.min.us/jedb7s.pdf.jpg
and
http://i.min.us/iebd7s.pdf

How can I provide this information? Maybe I should just provide the edb7s
and let the apps do this logic?

Because there is no thumbnail, can't you provide the k.min.us link? I know in the iOS application, I verify the file extension prior to downloading the file - so a PDF for example, I display a .PDF logo until the user downloads it.

There is a thumbnail (the j link). k.min.us just forwards to i.min.us, yes?

Ohhh, I see how it works now. I would be game for if you provide the edb7s and I can work it out.

Well, I have ran some logic in the application and I have some of the download links working (it converts the "j" to an "i"). However, there is a case with an 8mb zip file where it just redirects to the homepage when I visit the direct link. I guess hotlinking isn't allowed on some of the files?

Exactly. at the moment, hotlinking not allowed for zips, exes, and htm ext.
