Add an mdBook version of this project

I would request to add a mdbook version of this project. It will provide a structured, easy-to-navigate documentation experience, and deploy it automatically to GitHub Pages.

I went ahead and built this out on my fork, though with MkDocs Material rather than mdBook. Same goal as the request — structured navigation and automatic GitHub Pages deployment — so hopefully it's useful either as-is or as a reference.

What it gives you

• Full-text search across all 151 write-ups — this is the big one for interview prep, since you can search CrashLoopBackOff or NAT gateway and get every company that asked about it
• Browse by tag — tag index with 119 tags across topic (topic/kubernetes), company (company/amazon), and role (role/sre)
• Deep-linkable pages — every interview gets a stable URL, e.g. Amazon / DevOps Consultant
• Light/dark/auto theme, and an "edit this page" link straight to GitHub on every page

How it's wired up

Four pieces, no content rewriting — the interview files moved into docs/ as pure git mv renames:

The tag index works because each file carries YAML frontmatter, which Material's tags plugin reads directly:

CI builds with mkdocs build --strict, so a broken internal link fails the PR instead of reaching the live site. PRs build but never deploy; only pushes to main publish.

To run it locally:

mdBook vs MkDocs

Worth being upfront that this isn't what was asked for. mdBook is a single Rust binary with no Python runtime and gives a linear, book-like reading order — genuinely nicer if you want people to read start-to-finish. I picked MkDocs Material because this content is lookup-shaped rather than read-through-shaped: 86 companies you dip into, where search and tag filtering matter more than chapter order. The frontmatter-driven tagging also came free.

Happy to open a PR here if you'd like it upstream, or leave it on the fork if you'd rather go the mdBook route — no attachment either way. The config is small enough to be worth a look before deciding.
