FirebaseUI support for Vue framework

I have been using firebaseui (versions <= 6) with Vue for years. They worked beautifully together. What do I do now?

Hi @surferjeff - I'm afraid the latest version does not have Vue support. We'll label this as a feature request pending further interest.

@russellwheatley How can we indicate interest to support vue and nuxtjs? Or perhaps a guide on how we can implement this ourselves. I also have a few apps stuck on vue2 which I'll love to upgrade to vue3.

@AchoArnold - I've renamed the issue to "FirebaseUI support for Vue framework" - I would put a thumb on the OP's initial description if you would like to see Vue support (which you have done 🙏 ).

As a workaround to full Vue support, we've created an example app for you to take a look at that uses Veaury to wrap around React logic and will allow you to integrate into your Vue apps: #1333

Initial attempt to integrate the new version into my Vue app via Veaury is not done yet, but looking good so far. ☺️

That example looks promising, but the problem is it depends on the package @firebase-oss/ui-core. The most recent version of that library is https://www.npmjs.com/package/@firebase-oss/ui-core/v/7.0.2-beta.

The -beta suffix tells me this library isn't ready to be put into real products. I don't want to frustrate my users with a beta product that isn't fully ready. Please let me know when a production version of that library and the 3 other @firebase-oss/ui-* libraries have been published.

The example demonstrates how to get the pop-up flow working, and I got it working in my own app. Sweet!

Then I tried to get redirect flow working, but I haven't got it working yet. I tried many revisions with Gemini Pro, but no matter what, the user wasn't signed in after the redirect. Here was the final revision: https://gist.github.com/surferjeff/daa3dd92c90402ed70f9cae27dbc0276 . I know .vue syntax well, but I don't know .tsx syntax so I'm kinda lost.

Thank you for the feedback, @surferjeff! That helps a lot. Just so I understand - you're saying that the redirect is currently broken on the underlying redirect flow implementation (i.e React)? rather than a problem with getting Vue to work with React when using redirect flow?
