This is a feature request for another vim motion that evil-magit generally supports but is not in the latest release of gitu. CTRL+D and CTRL+U are page scrollers, and are mostly useful for looking through tons of unstaged changes. Pressing tab on one staged change to see it could blow up the screen, so being able to scroll up and down could be pretty useful, for example to view a stash, or open a recent commit, or be able to easily collapse all changes if you're deep in reviewing.
EDIT: Apparently it DOES work, but it doesn't move the cursor when the page is static. So skipping lines in gitu and jumping between lines on screen is harder
