chunk size of 64kb, possible to user define this chunk size?

i have key of up to 256bytes and value of 1byte. using 64kb is a waste of size?

possible to include a feature for user to self assign the chunk size?

does it mean the user specified chunk size should be 257 bytes in the scenario i've mentioned? i can fork and hard code this value though
