A fair bit of lift and shift has been happening as we move towards getting this package working in 2024.
After most of this has been done we will have a good idea of the structure of a working plugin
At this point we should consider rewriting to typescript, theres not a whole lot to change and now with a working build we have something to test against.
Would make it easier for others to get involved as typescript is more friendly to devs
