Regression in speed to load images in preview

Describe the bug
The preview window (or Quick View) is much slower to load than the original Allusion. It also flashes an error message for a split second (pictured below) when previewing any image and shows a loading bar, which the original did not do. This even happens when an image is already loaded from just being previewed. All of my settings, locations, and the images I'm testing are the same.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Select image thumbnail
2. Press space to preview

Expected behavior
Loading as quickly as older versions.
