Script Lab won't load (chasing dots)

Expected Behavior

Upon installation, the tool should load as depicted here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V85_97G7VA4&feature=youtu.be.

Current Behavior

Upon installation, the tool shows up in "Script Lab" sidebar, with loading animation (chasing dots) that continues indefinitely.

Your Environment

• Version used: Script Lab version 1.1.0.2 (with Excel 2016)
• Browser Name and version: None? I am using Excel 2016 for desktop
• Operating System and version (desktop or mobile): Windows 10 Enterprise (desktop)

A few clarifying questions:

• What is the exact version number of your Excel build? (Under "Account"; see https://support.office.com/en-us/article/about-office-what-version-of-office-am-i-using-932788b8-a3ce-44bf-bb09-e334518b8b19)
• If you see buttons in the ribbon (which depends on Office version), which button are you clicking: edit or run?
• Could you show a few screenshots. It might help shed some light...

• Microsoft Excel 2016 MSO (16.0.4639.1000) 32-bit
• No button in the ribbon. I guess it hasn't actually completed installation, so it isn't there?

Re. the ribbon buttons -- no, it's just means that you're on an MSO build. Later (O365 subscription) versions of Office have added ribbon customizability, aka Add-in Commands. FWIW, there are also a ton more APIs in the subscription builds, the initial 2016 offering had some, but not nearly as many as we have now. So, you might consider getting an O365 subscription (btw, for Office Add-in developers, you can get a free copy of the latest O365 via the https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev-program).

I have not tested the 2016 build recently with Script Lab, it has certainly worked before, though I just recently heard about a different issue with the MSO build as it relates to Script Lab, that I'll be investigating in the near future. So for Script Lab right now, you might actually need an O365 version of Office regardless. Or it might be something specific to a bug in Script Lab that somehow manifests itself in your specific configuration.

If you are able to get O365 and give it a try, and let me know the results, that would be great.
Also, if you have another machine you could try this on -- could you try there, just in case?
