IR isnt outputting to mouse emulation.

When binding my buttons, I chose to use the "quick assignment>mouse>100%" emulation preset and it simply doesn't effect the curser. All other buttons work just fine. Is there something I'm missing?

It might be an issue with the quick assignment action itself. See if you can individually assign mouse movement manually.

still nothing. I have a mayflash dolphinbar for my sensor bar, does that change anything? like does it need a wiimote connected to it in order for the IR to light up? or am I missing a step in the program?

ok, I changed Wii remotes and now its working. but the IR feels rather sluggish? Jitter reduction is at 0 percent but when I crank the sensitivity all the way up, it doesn't change much. it feels like its emulating a joystick and not a mouse. if that makes any sense.

I'm guessing that before it didn't update your Wiimote's report type or something to enable the IR.

IR didn't get fully implemented, that and motion controls were the last two things in order to hit version 1.0.

If I remember right, it's been implemented to be what you'd use for FPS controls rather than RTS. The old beta 7 version might have had 1:1 positioning because I recall messing around with it but I honestly don't remember.

Thanks for getting back to me. I’ll check out that version and see if it works any better. One last thing; the IR seems to quite entirely when I switch to the game window, but comes back when I shift focus back to WiinUPro. Have you encountered that yet?

I can’t wait to see 1.0 release if that’s still being worked on. This so far has potential to be the most powerful Wii/u emulation control outside of dolphin! Keep it up!

I don't think I've encountered that behavior yet, it's been a while but would like to think I'd go and fix it if I did.

Thanks, version 1 has been put off for so long I feel bad about it, pretty much ever since I started graduate school. I started writing the successor program, didn't get as far as I'd like before summer coming to an end, but perhaps it might be worth wrapping up those final WiinUPro features.

Successor program? You have soft and pro, are you making a third one?

Yes, I started writing a new codebase for both better architecture, operating system agnostic, and to support plugins so that adding new controllers will be easier and opening up users to be able to define their own custom controller layouts. For example if someone has a Logitech controller and wants the program to show a custom image that reflects that device.

I was about to post an update no.2 in the discussions, just haven't yet.

I found some code yesterday that enables an IR mouse, there just isn't any way to get to it 😆
If I hook that up and add the gyro controls, then I can finally have a version 1.0. I just got to get my computer back setup so it can compile it again.

Awesome! I did some messing around and the inputs were being blocked by the SWTOR anti cheat. When playing other games (I tested it in Roblox and peak) it seemed to work perfectly fine. I wonder if because of the language this is programmed in the game thinks I’m bottling or something? In any case, the controls not working when switching issues is a game problem not a program one.

Interesting. Yeah I'd assume it's how the virtual keyboard is handled, and the game trying to ignore macros or something..
