Stopped working after update of VSCode to v1.122.0

Initialization throws error:
Todo-Tree: Failed to find vscode-ripgrep - please install ripgrep manually and set 'todo-tree.ripgrep' to point to the executable

Todo Tree stopped highlight keywords in the file editor and the tree in the activity bar is empty.

VSCode version: 1.122.0
Todo tree version: 0.0.226

Oddly file search (CTRL+ALT+F) had the same issue after update. But this was resolved on restart, so I think the issue is on VSCode's side with how it exposes ripgrep.

I dug through the commits to VSCode since 1.121.0 and believe this may be caused by this commit: microsoft/vscode@c4471e2

For now, since I have rg installed globally, I followed the advice of the error and set this in user settings:
"todo-tree.ripgrep.ripgrep": "/usr/bin/rg",
This has resolved it for me, but isn't great out of box!

Install rg globally may not be necessary, since there is still a rg inside vscode's app folder.
It is just that they changed the path, so for now we just need to set the path manually in vscode's setting:
(may need to replace the path to where yours located)

Yes, manual setting of "todo-tree.ripgrep.ripgrep" works fine, thanks. However, next release of Todo Tree should fix it anyway.

Never mind. I was verifying in a project that had no TODO comments.

Before (VS Code ≤1.121):

• @vscode/ripgrep was bundled at /node_modules/@vscode/ripgrep/bin/rg
• Todo Tree's lookup hit it on the 3rd candidate path ✓

Now (VS Code 1.122):

• Renamed package: @vscode/ripgrep → @vscode/ripgrep-universal
• Moved binary: bin/rg → bin/linux-x64/rg (per-arch subdir, presumably for cross-platform universal bundles)
• Actual current path: /node_modules/@vscode/ripgrep-universal/bin/linux-x64/rg

Todo Tree's lookup (unchanged in v0.0.226):

1. setting "todo-tree.ripgrep" (user override)
2. /node_modules/vscode-ripgrep/bin/rg → 404
3. /node_modules.asar.unpacked/vscode-ripgrep/bin/rg → 404
4. /node_modules/@vscode/ripgrep/bin/rg → 404 ← used to match
5. /node_modules.asar.unpacked/@vscode/ripgrep/bin/rg → 404

None of Todo Tree's 4 fallback paths know about ripgrep-universal or the linux-x64/ subdir, so resolution fails and you get "Failed to find vscode-ripgrep…". The workaround is the explicit todo-tree.ripgrep setting until Gruntfuggly ships a patched lookup.
